I have decided to give BlogSprockit a new theme and will start to blog more often.

After reading all the blogs and sites I’ve recently been following, I often thought I should start writing about things I’m doing and interests I have. Then I remembered I have this nifty blog already set up.

I also thought it would be interesting to post about various happenings in my personal life such as the wonderful things that happen in my apartment management job. There’s been some funny stuff, well, maybe not funny to me at the time, but some of you may get a kick out of it.

So my plans for BlogSprockit is to take advantage of the blogging platform and use it for what it’s been designed to be. This is my personal space to talk about anything I want without reservation, kind of like the center collection of things in my life.

I hope things don’t get too boring for you.

The posts will start to come in more often as I get back into the swing of marketing various projects online.

Those who know me understand that I was burned by eBay recently so it’s been difficult to really get back on the horse so to speak.

There’s not much motivation in writing about eBay, but I’m hoping as I get back into the day to day routines I was once in, things will start to get easier.Until then I will be exploring other projects that may not have a focus on eBay.

They will certainly be abut making money online however. I will also still maintain TPRweb.com as much as I can, but I think even that site will start to see a change in focus soon.Feel free to drop me a comment.

I haven’t posted to my blog in a very long time, and thought it was time to update it. After all, there may still be a chance someone out there is still following what I’m doing, or at least where I’ve disappeared.

Back in July 2007 I was presented with an opportunity to manage the apartments where I lived, and I couldn’t pass it up. Little did I know this cushy little job I thought would be a way to bring in some steady income would take over my life.

I also got married to MY Sara in October and we have found that managing 54 units and a family of eight kids (I have 3, and Sara has 4 from previous marriages, and we have little Dax together) has proved to be a challenge with unique obstacles that can only be understood by those who have 8 kids under the age of 10 .

I’ve been hoping things would slow down after we cleaned house and got better tenants in here, but every time we think we see a break coming, something else comes up to put us behind.

My online projects have been suffering greatly, but I still hold out hope that the new year will prove to be a year where I can regain some of my online activities.

So there you have it … that is if you were wondering.

I’m not sure how eBay allowed a dozen auctions to slip by that may have stolen hundreds of user ID’s before they were shut down.

My Girlfriend (Sara) was browsing eBay’s “Toys and Hobbies” category and the first two auctions had a gallery image with full frontal nudity. She asked me how it was a seller could do that, and I told her they can’t. I went on to let her know we needed to report the seller.

She clicked on the auction link and was greeted with a login page (which happens on eBay sometimes). It wasn’t until after she submitted her login information that I realized she wasn’t on eBay.

With further inspection we found as soon as the auction link was clicked the user was taken off eBay and instructed to login with a page and website that looked just like eBay, but the URL was NOT on eBay. Read more »

In reference to Sydney Johnston’s post regarding Build A Niche Store

Sydney Johnston is a person who’s opinion I have always admired and if you have been online for any length of time you have come to know Sydney as an expert in the online auction market.

I think this may be the first time I disagree with her about a product, and it’s not because I’m an affilaite of the product. If I don’t agree with a product, I won’t promote it, it doesn’t matter how much money I stand to earn.

Bottom line, Sydney has missed some key points and doesn’t have all the facts correct about the Build A Niche Store product. Read more »

It’s bound to happen to you sooner or later, a buyer or seller on eBay has done you wrong and all you’re left with is a little text box to warn other eBayers. Then as they continue to get more feedback your comment gets buried.

Well now there is a service that will give you an added voice to vent your frustrations.

It’s a service I offered a friend advise on, and actually got to be the first to report a bad seller/buyer.

The site hasn’t been opened up yet, because my recent run in with an eBay seller has got him a little spooked, he’s waiting on more response from the public so he can set up more reports against bad sellers/buyers.

For years there has been the debate over eBay’s feedback system, some say it favors the buyer, and others say it favors the seller. I have been involved in several heated discussions about eBay’s feedback system over the past ten years and I have always sided with those who viewed eBay’s feedback as favoring the seller.

Well that has changed, and boy do I ever have a fight on my hands now as I’m sure I will receive a lot of hate mail from my comments here.

There is NOTHING beneficial about eBay’s feedback system, it doesn’t give a bidder any REAL indication as to how well the seller has done at serving his/her customers. The only purpose the feedback system has is to see who can get the highest feedback score. Read more »

I don’t know who’s bone headed move this was, but currently over at eBay I am getting more 404 errors than I have seen since eBay’s system crashed in the late ’90′s.

I thought at first it must have something to do with the PS3′s, and perhaps eBay’s servers were buckling under the heavy traffic.

BUT NO SIREEEEEEE !!!!!

Some lame brains at eBay decided to schedule maintenance during what could very well be some of the heaviest traffic eBay has seen in years.

This will no doubt anger many eBay sellers – present company included – as they try and list their auctions.

I was having trouble with some auctions that had errors in them after launching them from an auction managememt service. I have been trying to revise them but I can’t even get into my eBay store to view my auctions let alone make changes to them.

Sometimes I wonder how much eBay REALLY cares about it’s users … dumb ass moves like this doesn’t make it look like eBay cares at ALL.

I’m heading to the fridge to grab a beer and try and calm down, CHEERS.

Anyone who plays games, or has kids who play video games will have already heard about the buzz being created by the soon to launch Sony PS3, the latest game console to be released with limited supplies to overdemanding markets.

There’s no doubt we will see auctions on eBay close for more than $2,500 and is much of the reason gamers or profiteers are camping out in the cold to get their hands on a PS3.

I’m starting to get a love / hate attitude towards eBay after being active as a seller for the past two months. Sure I’ve bought and sold many items over the years but in the last two months I have been selling as much as I can (one more month to Powerseller, YEAH!), and I have to admit, I now see some of the frustrations of other sellers.

One of those being eBay’s “SP NOTICE” messages.

If you’re not familiar with them, if you get a spam related email or anything that eBay has been sent a report on, you will get a notice as an alert in your message folder. This notice is designed to warn you of the potential danger of replying or doing business with the people sending the spam message (usualy from china, they try and get you to buy their wholesale merchandise)
