My update as a SendOutCards distributor!
Have you ever felt like you’re under attack by some unknown force? Well this past week has been one for the record books. The whole family has been sick and we’re not talking about a few sniffles. It started when our three yr old came down with croup, then Sarah got sick and the youngest. Just when I thought I was thinking I might skate by without getting hit – it hit me hard!
Add to that, final projects at school for this quarter (college math is never fun!, and I liked math 20+ years ago LOL) Obviously I have left out a lot of details, I don’t want to start a pity party, but I always find it weird that anytime I start to make progress somewhere it seems the world starts to fall apart around us.
Now for the Good NEWS!
We got a new van, one that can handle more of the kids YEAH! and they all love it, I mean why wouldn’t they with a TV, DVD and VCR. I never new rides with the kids could be so quiet.
During all the chaos, we managed to send out some cards and add to our contacts in the SOC back office. It was pretty exciting to get calls from people thanking us for the cards. My mother-in-law is really excited about it as she sends cards all the time. This was good news, because I wasn’t sure how receptive she was going to be since she makes all her cards by hand. Her cards are always so creative and unique. Next time she’s in town she wants us to show her all about SOC.
I sent cards to my bosses at work hoping to show them the value of using the cards for our customers. Funny thing … they were approached a couple of weeks ago from another local distributor, and I don’t think their eyes have really opened up to the possibilities. I figure even if they don’t want to get involved, I have no doubt they will give me the go ahead to contact our customers.
Just think about how many businesses out there are in the B2B service. (that’s business to business) Businesses that serve other businesses. SOC is the perfect way to send out reminders, thank you’s and even marketing. Do you think a card will get thrown in the trash ?
I’ve managed also to get more of the main website together although not as much as I would have liked. Hopefully I can open it up soon.
So that’s about all I have for now … I should be able to keep caught up now

My fourth day as a SendOutCards distributor.
I sent out two more cards today.
We’ve been excited about the new van and today would be the first time our older kids got to see it. I wish I was running the video cam when they saw it … the expressions on their face was priceless.
We loved it too because now with the DVD/TV combo we can drive with in quiet (for now anyway)
Watched a few more videos about SendOutCards and Sarah and I went through the distributor kit. We need to get the handwriting font completed so we can have that in the system.

My third day as a SoundOutCards Distributor.
Whooo Hoooo … I got my distributor kit today, and was so excited about it I drove home after work to pick it up. Not something I normally do when I have school. It takes me 20 minutes from home to get to school, so I was cutting it close. I made it with 3 minutes to spare
I added a few more addresses to my contact sheet and have written down others I need to find the addresses to.
Can’t wait to get my main site done (will be working on that this weekend)

My second day as a SendOutCards distributor.
I’m met with my first challenge …
One drawback to using the web for the past 15 years, all my friends and family have email addresses now. I can’t remember the last time I send something through the postal service. Gathering physical addresses is taking more time than I would like, but we’re getting there
We sent out our first card today, and plan to send at least one per day. One can get lost in the selection process too, WOW there sure are a lot of great cards to choose from.
I was also able to change the site layout for Blogsprockit.
I have college math tomorrow so won’t get a whole lot done either, but will catch up Friday and over the weekend.
Until tomorrow … Scott
My first day as a new SendOutCards distributor.
Today marks day one, my very first day of many to come in this new venture. I need to start by saying this wasn’t a decision I made lightly either. A lot of research and preparation has gone into this. I - like so many others who are tired of failing with network marketing – decided this time I would take the time to learn more about the company and what I feel has been the most important decision is being able to choose my upline.
I’m not going to blame all my past failures on my upline, but I can tell you this much, not having the right person behind you makes it a lot tougher. If you’re wondering about why I chose SOC, or what I did to research, you’ll have to wait for the new site, sorry. I wanted to get this journal started so I don’t put it off
(more…)
Greetings!
Are you all ready for the ride of your life?
I just made the decision to get started in a new business venture that I’m sure will prove to be the best decision I have made since I asked my lovely wife (Sarah) to marry me
I’m not sure what the response will be, as I don’t know if this has been done before … I’m going to journal my daily activities in this new business venture and post a daily blog post on a soon to be launched site (currently being built). Obviously these first days will be absent a blog home for my journal progress, so I have decided to start posting them here on my personal blog. (will transfer them to their new home as soon as I can)
I’ve started a new category titled SOC for those interested in my progress.
My goal with this is two fold …
1) I hope by posting about my daily activities it will act as encouragement to stay the course and keep moving forward. A way for me to be accountable to myself and others. One thing I have noticed from a lot of great blogs, and many blogs my wife reads. People like to read about REAL life, they’re drawn in, and really start to connect with the blog owner. I’m not going to be concerned about creating a mass following, and perhaps no one will be interested at all – lol – but I do know by posting a public time line of my progress, there will come a day where people will be interested in HOW I did it. That’s where it will be fun to look back after a couple of years and see where I was at the beginning of my journey.
2) I hope others will see this as a business that they can do themselves, and be inspired to start taking action.
There will also be changes coming to Blogsprockit as I am getting bored with the current design
but only after my new site is ready.
Feel free to add any comments and I look forward to hearing about your successes too.
Enjoy … Scott
