I can see what you're saying and also thought of that too, as in the question of something else I may not have disclosed, but come on ... have you seen some of the people they let donate? and you can't tell me their screening process catches all the people who legitimately SHOULDN'T be donating.

It's obvious I didn't purposely omit my having had an ear pierced over 25 years ago, the guy even admitted it was a stupid reason, he could also tell that my piercing was not recent, I mean you can hardly even tell there was ever a hole in my ear.

Here's a solution, let there be an affidavit signed about the mistake, a statement explaining the discrepancy. At least then there wouldn't be any time lost on their part for having to recheck my previous plasma.

They won't even answer simple questions over the phone, and that's if they even pick up the phone at all.

There's nothing you're going to be able to say for me to see THEIR side of things, the fact still remains that I'm the least of their worries when it comes to my plasma being safe and all it takes is a couple of hours in their coral to see the wondrous mix of life herded off to the milking beds.

I certainly understand your frustrations, but it goes further than just an oversight of the closed piercing. What they should have told you is that “you are now considered an unreliable historian” sounds stupid i know but the FDA looks at it as if you didnt tell about a simple piercing, what else are you withholding. I am sorry to hear about your loss in time. But there is also MORE time lost within the Industry due to that “OVERSIGHT”. Now the FDA, has to be notified so they can determine if the PLASMA you have donated in the past is suitable. I know it all sounds crazy, but its much more than a quick $$$$$$$$$$$….
