etweeplecom

I recently launched a new website aimed at the Twitter crowd. Ever since I closed down TPRweb I have been trying to find something that interests me, something that can keep me writing and engaged online.

I still had a desire to make something of the knowledge I have with eBay which is why I decided to launch MyAuctionLife.com. As much as I tried to get excited about the site, it was easy to put it off, much like I did with TPRweb in the last months of it’s life.

After noticing how much I was getting involved with Twitter, and how main stream it has become, I decided to see if there was something I could contribute to the Twittersphere.

That’s when the thought of a site geared towards the people who use Twitter, not just a tips site (as if we need another) but rather a site that showcases Twitter users. Thus the site http://eTweeple.com was created.

In celebration of the eTweeple launch, I have decided to create professional Twitter backgrounds free of charge in exchange for people helping me spread the word about eTweeple. I’m not talking about some easy templated background you see offered for free all over the net, I’m talking about professional grade one of a kind backgrounds. You can see examples of the ones I have created so far at eTweeple.

If you know of any Twitter users that the world should know about, leave a comment on any post at eTweeple and we’ll take a look.

See you at eTweeple … Scott

So the big buzz word online right now is “Attraction Marketing” where you attract people to you instead of chasing after them. I have to say I like the concept a lot better. This is just a quick little video to introduce myself and to see how this whole attraction thing works.

Enjoy … Scott

There’s an experiment I just launched, and I’m really hoping it won’t come back to bite me!

I’m all about growing my Twitter numbers naturally, but I have to be honest, I HATE the 2000 limit on who I can follow until my followers reach 2000. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand why Twitter placed the limitation. The bad people ruined it for the good, too many people were gaming the system to gain a huge number of followers and then they would unfollow.

If anyone reads my Twitter posts they will see that I’m not the type to post spam, I don’t even talk about my businesses on Twitter. I’m of the opinion if people want to know more about me or what I’m all about they will visit my blog.

So why is it that I want to get past the 2000 followers mark? It’s very simple … I want the freedom to follow anyone that I want without worrying about hitting Twitters limit. You see … currently I have to think and chose those I follow carefully so I don’t hit that 2000 mark. I had it happen a couple of times before I realized there was a limit. On several occasions I wasn’t able to follow key people with similar interests as I.

So naturally when I saw a post that claimed to be able to add more than 19,000 followers to my Twitter account I was curious. After looking things over, I decided to give it a shot.

If you’re curious like I was take a look at TweeterGetter.com and I will post my results in the comments each day to let you know if my followers have increased or not. Sound fair?

Enjoy … Scott

I found this little distraction extremely funny, so I thought I would share it with you.

“What is your name?”…

When you find you’re having a stressful day or week, perhaps some silliness can break up the day, here’s a little dose:

Here’s an excerpt from a children’s book titled, “Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants” by Dave Pilkey.

In the book there’s an evil professor who forces everyone to assume a new name.

Following the instructions below you can now find your new name.

Use the third letter of your first name to determine your new first name:

a = poopsie
b = lumpy
c = buttercup
d = gidget
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = fluffy
h = cheeseball
i = chim-chim
j = stinky
k = flunky
l = boobie
m = zippy
n = pinky
o = goober
p = doofus
q = slimy
r = loopy
s = snotty
t = tulefel
u = dorkey
v = squeezit
w = oprah
x = skipper
y = dinky
z = zsa-zsa

Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of your new last name:

a = apple
b = toilet
c = giggle
d = burger
e = girdle
f = barf
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = cootie
j = monkey
k = potty
l = liver
m = banana
n = rhino
o = bubble
p = hamster
q = toad
r = gizzard
s = pizza
t = gerbil
u = chicken
v = pickle
w = chuckle
x = tofu
y = gorilla
z = stinker

Use the fourth letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:

a = head
b = mouth
c = face
d = nose
e = tush
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips
j = honker
k = butt
l = brain
m = tushie
n = chunks
o = hiney
p = biscuits
q = toes
r = buns
s = fanny
t = sniffer
u = sprinkles
v = kisser
w = squirt
x = humperdinck
y = brains
z = juice

As an example, President Barack Obama’s new name is Loopy Toilettushy.

Please respond in the comments with your new name, and remember that children laugh on average 146 times a day, adults laugh on average 4 times a day.

Put more laughter in your life!!

Enjoy … Scott

dsc09731I have to say this was one of the best meals my wife and I cooked up EVER!!!!

As a kid, I can remember anytime my parents took us out to a restaurant I would order chicken fried steak. It’s been one of my favorites ever since.

Several month ago, I wanted to try to make chicken fried steak. As I do any time I want to make the perfect “enter food item” I looked to the web in search of the best recipe.

I settled on a combination of a couple of recipes based on the ingredients I had on hand, and my first attempt was amazing.

The breaded mixture had saltine crackers in it, something that hadn’t been a part of the steaks I had eaten in my youth, but it sounded like a good mix.

Each time I made this favorite meal I got better, except for the time when I wanted to cook for my Mother-In-Law. Let’s just say I wish I had a do over button that night. Despite practically burning the steak, and ruining the gravy, my wife helped me salvage what we could and the dinner wasn’t a total loss.

Tonight was the redemption I wish I could have displayed for my Mother-In-Law. My wife and I teamed up to make sure the dinner went smooth. Not only did it turn out smooth, but we got it done in record time. We make a great team!!!

The best addition to the recipe was the baked asparagus. A recipe my wife found on PioneerWoman.com which has resulted in our decision to NEVER eat asparagus from a can again.

So … enjoy the pics of our ultimate dinner treat.

Enjoy … Scott
