Many people have been asking me when I’m going to open TPRweb up to new members and when will the site be updated.
My intentions for the last few months have been to update TPRweb and get the site back on track with fresh updates on a regular basis. That would be in a perfect world.
Life has been throwing us a few curve balls to say the least, so my intentions have remained just thoughts and scribblings on paper.
I have been fairly guarded with my plans for the upgrade and realize there’s no real reason I should be. So I wanted to use my blog to keep you up to date with the plans for TPRweb.
TPRweb was the most successful when I was providing stats on sellers and the hot selling products on eBay, and I started getting a lot of requests for tutorial type information so TPRweb started taking a new direction. That direction isn’t working any more. I can think of a lot of reasons why, but the bottom line is there is still a gap that needs to be filled and taking TPRweb back to it’s roots will solve this.
The plan is to convert TPRweb’s content over to public access so anyone can view the pages without paying for a membership. If you’re a member hang on … there is a much better reason for membership and I’ll get to that in a moment.
Categories will be created to loosly match eBay’s category structure where users will ba able to find sellers profiled in their favorite categories. Along with seller stats there will be products showcased and news on various topics related to eBay.
The advantages of membership …
With each stats article (either seller or product) there will be links that point back to eBay using the ePN (eBay Partner Network) and members will be allowed to post these articles wth their own ePN links. This means members will be able to make money from the eBay affiliate program. So in essence, members will become editors and help build the content at TPRweb.
Members will also have access to sourcing information for the products that get listed. Anytime a source is discovered for a particular product that gets showcased on TPRweb that source willbe revealed only to members of TPRweb.
So that’s a rough outline of how TPRweb will be converted, and now I would like to ask you for feedback. Please add your comments below.
Thank you and Enjoy … Scott
